The updates are back! After some time off to let our brains heal, it’s time to rise and grind again! A lot actually happened this week which includes world records, several new versions of the Xbox One that will be hitting public stores, and Microsoft buying the rights to Gears Of War.

The two free games for next month’s “Games For Gold” have also been revealed.

Dead Island and Toy Soldiers: Cold War

I’ve always wanted to play Dead Island. This could be the biggest month yet for free games!

Enjoy the update guys, we’ll be back next week to bring you more gaming info.

SIPWU 1.3.14

Welcome to the first week of the new year! 2013 was fun but we’re moving on to bigger and better things. I have a real quick IMPORTANT announcement so don’t scroll down to read the update just yet.

The Communique is taking a break.

Yep, 2013 was a busy year for all of us. Especially Ham who was the one to propose the idea to me. Don’t worry though, it’s only a small three week vacation. We’ll be back on the 24th to get a head start on SIPWU 1.31.14. Arby will still be posting news to the blog so you won’t be missing us that much…

So for the last time until three weeks from now, enjoy the update!

SIPWU 10.25.13

The impending release of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts means that the hype train is at full speed. Also with Halloween around the corner, both Microsoft and Sony saw fit to have sales on their zombie- and survival-themed games. Read the full update to watch all of the launch trailers and check out what’s on sale this week.

News on the SIP front was slow this week – only the Last Man Standing 1v1 Tournament was of note. Only two players remain standing, so it’s time for them to either go big, or go home.

Lastly, we have an invited review by SpecOp3 for The Last of Us, the critically-acclaimed game developed by Naughty Dog for the Playstation 3. If you are thinking about getting the game, make sure to read his review to see what impressed him, and what didn’t.

SIP Hot Seat: Darkened Night

Most of you first met Darkened Night over a year ago after he crushed you 15-0 in the Halo Reach Ladder Tournament (yeah, he’s that good). Over the past couple weeks, he’s heavily contributed to the community by creating a 1v1 tournament of his own. If you ask me, it’s about time we strapped him in and spam him with questions! Enjoy the interview.

SIPWU 8.23.13

Apologies for the late update. This was a weird week for us, half the members were busy this week which left the other half in charge of a massive update.

Unless someone can correct me, this is the largest update we’ve ever written (excluding E3 updates). With 23 games covered, you’re going to be sitting at your computer screen for quite a while.

Thanks to everyone submitting their survey answers. We’ll go through the answers very soon and will take all ideas into consideration. For those of you who haven’t already, please take 5 minutes of your time and take the survey here.
