Welcome to the discord!
The next chapter of the Destiny experience is just around the corner. Here’s what you need to know to be a part of our section of the universe.
Our Spartan Company has been putting in some major hours across Halo 5 multiplayer! They’ve been putting boots to necks and nuts to faces. So a little recognition is do. Special thanks to John E Cash, Soryiu, Tooth8k, BloodyReaper125 for all the overtime. Keep it up boys!
As you know, with the last update Bungie fundamentally changed the way we all do raids. Mostly for the better, however it had a ripple effect on the way in which we do our flawless runs. It now requires us to field a full team of ready and able guardians. Although we had hoped to weather the storm, do to dwindling team member availability and as well as no longer being able to guarantee completion in a timely fashion we are no longer offering help getting the Destiny Flawless Raider Achievement. Our sincerest apologies to you all.
I would like to express my personal appreciation and admiration for the hours that our team members have put in. You have been a truly amazing, and talented team. We where all lucky to have you guiding us through the darkness.
Our site ribbon system first started in 2012, less than a year after the site began. Since then more ribbons have been added, and our gamerscore ribbons have mostly stayed the same despite series reaching double their size. Today, we’re revealing a change to that.
As the holiday season approaches we all tend to get reflective on things. It’s no different here at the Spartan 1 Project. A lot of work goes into the site, and group to keep things moving along. Some of it in the forefront like Stig and the Communiqué team, or other not so much like Arby and the Gordian Knot that is the site code. So, let us send out some love to everyone here for all they do. As for me, I’d like to shine some light on a few people…
The Grim Raider Team. With all the runs that had been accumulating I was totally stressed out about how we could possibly get these all done. I was relieved to see that not only did the team step up, but other community members lent a hand to help. Special thanks to Ham, and Swift who pitched in. Kirby who literally sped to the rescue. As well as our newest team member Soryiu who make it all just look too easy. Thanks again to all. If you have a fellow community member you would like to show some love than feel free to post down below.
We here at the Spartan I Project would like to both recognize and congratulate our members that have been putting all their blood, sweat, and tears into grinding towards the epic under taking that is the Achilles Armor: Gladiator Z56 & MrSerrano1105 congratulations on your strides to moving up those rankings. Tooth8k your dedication to the company and your own self improvement is astronomical. Stealthymuffins one of our newest members who has been putting some of our old timers to shame. Congratulation to you all as well as the others who have been keeping up with grind.
To those few members that haven’t been actively participating we feel that we have given ample time to contribute. As such tomorrow we will be discharging those who haven’t contributed to the effort. If you have mitigating circumstances that prevent you from currently participating, but wish to contribute, please contact the Staff.
How we show up as an organization is incredibly important to us. We want to build and reflect the culture of SIP – internally and externally – a culture that each one of us can represent with pride. An inclusive culture has a direct impact on the activities and services we deliver and the perception the community has of the SIP brand and our group, as a whole.
It has come to our attention that Stig Assassin has represented The Spartan I Project in a way that was absolutely not consistent or aligned to our values. That was unequivocally wrong and will not be tolerated. This matter is being handled internally, but let me be very clear – how we represent ourselves as individuals, who we hire and partner with and how we engage with others is a direct reflection of our brand and what we stand for. When we do the opposite, and create an environment that alienates or offends any group, we justly deserve the criticism.
It’s unfortunate that such events could take place in a week where we worked so hard to engage the many different gaming communities in the exact opposite way. We are personally committed to ensuring that diversity and inclusion is central to our everyday business and our core values as a team – inside and outside the group. We need to hold ourselves to higher standards and we will do better in the future.
As of now, all of Stig Assassin’s former responsibilities will be handled by Slashing Arbiter and myself until a replacement is found.
