Communiqué Under New Management

How we show up as an organization is incredibly important to us. We want to build and reflect the culture of SIP – internally and externally – a culture that each one of us can represent with pride. An inclusive culture has a direct impact on the activities and services we deliver and the perception the community has of the SIP brand and our group, as a whole.

It has come to our attention that Stig Assassin has represented The Spartan I Project in a way that was absolutely not consistent or aligned to our values. That was unequivocally wrong and will not be tolerated. This matter is being handled internally, but let me be very clear – how we represent ourselves as individuals, who we hire and partner with and how we engage with others is a direct reflection of our brand and what we stand for. When we do the opposite, and create an environment that alienates or offends any group, we justly deserve the criticism.

It’s unfortunate that such events could take place in a week where we worked so hard to engage the many different gaming communities in the exact opposite way. We are personally committed to ensuring that diversity and inclusion is central to our everyday business and our core values as a team – inside and outside the group. We need to hold ourselves to higher standards and we will do better in the future.

As of now, all of Stig Assassin’s former responsibilities will be handled by Slashing Arbiter and myself until a replacement is found.

SIPWU 1.3.14

Welcome to the first week of the new year! 2013 was fun but we’re moving on to bigger and better things. I have a real quick IMPORTANT announcement so don’t scroll down to read the update just yet.

The Communique is taking a break.

Yep, 2013 was a busy year for all of us. Especially Ham who was the one to propose the idea to me. Don’t worry though, it’s only a small three week vacation. We’ll be back on the 24th to get a head start on SIPWU 1.31.14. Arby will still be posting news to the blog so you won’t be missing us that much…

So for the last time until three weeks from now, enjoy the update!

We’ve created a short survey to hear your opinions. There are a total of 15 questions of which 12 are mandatory. Please, answer all questions honestly.

SIPWU 8.9.13

It’s been a busy week for most of us at the Communiqué. Namely, Beatle has started a new school year and that has bogged down his schedule, LGOPs has family in town, and Travis is making money.

It has also been a busy week for a bit of the gaming industry with a lot of info coming out for a few games and next-gen. If you’ve anxiously been watching out for news, you will be satisfied with this week’s update.

SIPWU 8.2.13

What’s up SIP? I’m back from the boonies and ready to get my update on. Thanks to ROK for covering while I was gone. Not only did he manage to get the updates out, he managed to post them early…Which is something I haven’t done in a long time lol.

My excuse: Since E3 (perfect timing right?) my laptop has been suffering from this weird blue screen that would pop up and crash my computer. You couldn’t even turn it on half the time so I had to do all the updates with my iPhone (which isn’t fun). In a way, it’s kind of like the RROD only instead of an xXox it’s my HP Pavilion G6 (which are crap, don’t get HP laptops or the Pavilion for that matter).

While I was in Missouri, I discovered my cousin had the same exact laptop as me AND the same blue screen virus. He told me how to fix it and I haven’t had any problems ever since!

Now that I’m back in full force, let’s get rolling.
