« on: May 12, 2017, 06:44:57 PM »

This week some games are getting patched, New DLC’s and Alan Wake will be removed from all digital and retail stores. Lastly, Arby announced that he would be stepping down as admin of SIP. Not much is going on in the Gaming Industry so you’ll notice that news is pretty slow but either way keep reading to see what’s going on in the gaming industry.

Overwatch has been a very popular game since it came out and if you haven’t purchase the game yet, hold on. According to True Achievements (an Xbox Community achievement site that scans the store) has picked up hidden new entries for a Game of the Year Edition – set for release on May 23 (a day before its May 24 first anniversary) – and Anniversary Loot Boxes. On Wednesday a new update was released for Rocket League. In that update, a new crate was added to the game as well as the return of Neo Tokyo with the redesigned flat layout. There wasn’t much to this one for fixes so just enjoy the game.

Some sad news to share for any fans of Alan Wake. It was announced today that the music licensing for the game has expired which means the game, and all DLC, will be removed from all digital and retail stores on May 15th (Monday). If you already own the game, digitally or physically, then you have nothing to worry about. If you haven’t picked up the DLC for the game then be sure to do so soon since both are free. This is only for the main game. The arcade spinoff title Alan Wake’s American Nightmare will remain in the store. If you’re more of a PC player then starting tomorrow it will be 90% off on Steam.

I highly recommend Alan Wake to anyone considering getting it. They call it a Psychological Thriller, which is just a weak survival horror game. Fantastic storytelling and some memorable moments. And the music is great, which is why it's going away. The only downside is for achievement hunters with the 250 or so collectibles.

I took the recommendation and bought Alan Wake. Sounds like it should be well worth it.
