There’s a wide range of news this week. From goody bag crates to custom consoles, an old console brought back to life as well as more free games! And that’s not even talking about any game details. For all this plus the latest on Destiny and Halo, read on.





Halo

With the release of Warzone Firefight not long ago, 343 has released their first patch to adjust some of the difficulty. You’ll be seeing some of the objectives moved around so it’s a more fair experience going forward. Additional tweaks were done behind the scenes to create a foundation for easier updates in the future. Here’s the full list of changes that rolled out today.

Destiny

Bungie has teased their next reveal stream for Rise of Iron. You’ll be able to see some of the “Cosmodrome Winter Tour” on Wednesday, July 20th, at 10AM Pacific / 1PM Eastern. They said it won’t be a tour of the new Plaguelands, but it sounds more like a walk down memory lane. There’s sure to be new information so check it out on their stream.Also revealed was our first look at some new gear. The Hunter got the special treatment with some new Trials gear getting shown off. No information came with it, just take a look at what you can get later this year.





Other Gaming News

If you’re playing Rainbow Six Siege you might want to read this as a new patch note will be out on July 13 available for all platforms. In this patch you will see many improvements and you might notice that Ubisoft seems to be getting stricter because players seem to be killing their own teammates. If you happen to have Origin Access you’ll want to know that ten more game are coming this summer. Unravel and Need for Speed were recently announced at EA Access and now they will be available for Origin Access members as well. Another game coming on August 30 is Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare 2. To see what other games are coming check it out right here.


For those of you looking forward to Fallout 4’s fifth DLC titled “Vault-Tec Workshop” well a release date has been given. The DLC will be out on July 26, this DLC allows players to build their own vault that can be decked out with various furniture, which will attract new inhabitants who can be trained and used to fight off any danger that may pose a threat to your vault and much more.


A Gears of War 4 Loot Crate Edition has been announced, something really cool about it is that it comes with a seven inch lancer and a few other things. So if you have always wanted to have a replica of the gears of war lancer now is your chance to get one. There will be 2 different Loot crates (one comes with a game and the other doesn’t so it’s cheaper). For more details on the loot crate click here.


If you’re one of the few people who still watches and plays WWE you might want to check what’s so special about this Collectors Edition of the game. For more information check it out right Here.


If you’re a star wars battlefront player you’ll want to know that on July 20 you’ll get to play Skirmish on offline mode either solo or with a friend splitscreen and you’ll get to practice with bots. Many people have been looking forward to this. For more information check it out in our Blog Post.


Nintendo is going back in time and releasing a 30 year old console this November 11th. The NES Classic edition will include 30 games for the same price as a new Xbox game. You can see all the details in our blog post.


The Xbox One S is coming out in just a couple months and now there’s’ a new option to consider. A Gears of War 4 themed console was announced this week along with some Limited edition controllers. Click the link for all the details and where to buy them.

For you more professional streamers out there Microsoft and Twitch are working together so streamers using capture cards will be able to have the same notifications to followers as players streaming through the console. All you have to do is link your gamertag to your Twitch account and when you start a stream it will send out the alerts to the activity feed and followers. This is all done through your Twitch account so sign in over there to set it up.

Today is the last day for the current Games with Gold. Grab them while you can then be ready for the new titles starting tomorrow.


Warner Bros. and Telltale Games have announced the upcoming Batman: A Telltale Game Series will be premiering sometime in August and the physical version of the game will be released on September 13. For more details check it out in our blog.

While the changes to Warzone Firefight make the earlier rounds a bit more manageable, it would be nice to see some health reduction for the Mythic bosses in Round 5.

Do I detect some Hunter bias in the Trials armor featured in this update? ;)

No bias. That's all Bungie posted on the Destiny Twitter account. Clearly DeeJ isn't in charge of that.

That was probably Cozmo then - he has two hunters on his PSN account.
