Quote
For all the campaign missions you can play through on normal to unlock the mentioned character or Firefight Map. To unlock Dare on Legendary you can play through solo or in co-op. This guide will not give a walkthrough for each mission, however if you need advice or help on a specific area of a level you can use this thread.

For the Campaign Complete: Legendary symbol to appear on your service record you must complete all missions on Legendary solo including Mombassa streets (this can be done by entering Mombassa streets on Legendary and making your way to a way point and starting the flashback mission)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Junior Detective (10G)
Find the first clue unraveling the mystery

Gumshoe (10G)
Find the 3rd clue unraveling the mystery alone or with another ODST

Super Sleuth (10G)
Find the final clue unraveling the mystery alone or with another ODST

Quote
Each of these will unlock as you play through the campaign finding each of the clues that leads to the flashback missions.

For Super Sleuth it is important that the campaign is played through from the start in one save setting (i.e. you cannot erase the saved data to go and play a different mission then go back to where you were... you can save as you go but you cant wipe the saved data). It must be played from mission start to data hive... this should take a decent player approx 3hrs on normal

Level Specific

Wraith Killer (5G)
Kill all Wraiths in Uplift Reserve

Quote
Use your Spartan Laser to kill all the Wraiths in the first open area, continue on to the next area. After a while, you will encounter two more Wraiths in a large open area (some marines will be in the big building in the middle) this area is before you cross the bridge. Use your Spartan Laser on those. Now go back inside the building and you will find a Spartan Laser on the ground floor in a puddle under some stairs. After that, continue and kill the last two Wraiths in the level with your new Spartan Laser (you should have killed 6 Wraiths total)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Both Tubes (5G)
Get 10 Rocket Kills on Kizingo Boulevard

Quote
You can do this by individually killing enemies with your rockets, to help with this there are 4 extra rockets behind the barrier that is behind the Empty Scorpion at the beginning of the level... or you can give your Rocket Launcher to a marine and have them ride on your Scorpion tank, any kills they get will count as yours

---------------------------------------------------------------

Laser Blaster (5G)
Get 10 Spartan Laser kills on ONI Alpha Site

Quote
As soon as you regain control of your character, aim your shot at the distant Wraith bombarding your position. A direct hit will kill the gunner and the driver and blow the Wraith up, counting as three kills. Now, turn around and walk back to the end of the bridge. Shoot the two banshees on your way (double kills). You should now be at 5-7 with 2 or 3 shots left. Climb the watch tower on the left and shoot another Wraith, netting three more kills. Basically aim for vehicles as they offer multi-kills and never shoot at a single enemy. If you find you have only one shot left, but no vehicles in sight, be patient and wait for the appropriate number of covenant baddies to line up in your sights. There is also another Spartan Laser on one of the look out posts in the open area just outside the ONI Alpha Site

---------------------------------------------------------------

Dome Inspector (5G)
Get 15 headshot kills on NMPD HQ

Quote
The easiest method is using the auto-mag on grunts. You have plenty of ammo, and plenty of grunts, this is one of the easiest in the game

---------------------------------------------------------------

I Like Fire (5G)
Kill 10 enemies with the flamethrower on Data Hive

Quote
Play through the level until you reach a brute chieftain with a plasma turret. Once you have killed him and his backup, the tunnel curves to the right. Instead of travelling along the path, continue straight. At the end of this short hall, on the far back, right hand corner there is a flamethrower and a medkit. The whole area should be covered in ice, use the flamethrower sparingly through the rest of the level and try and kill enemies in groups, once you hit them the fire will consume them and they will die, you do not need to continue putting more fire on them wasting your ammo

---------------------------------------------------------------

Trading Down (5G)
Trade weapons with a fellow character

Quote
Trade one of your weapons with a marine, there are plenty of encounters for you to do this

---------------------------------------------------------------

Headcase (5G)
Finish any level with at least one Skull activated

Quote
Play through an entire level with one of the skulls activated, you can access these and activate them in the pre-game lobby. The skull can be silver or gold

Method of Kill Specific

Boom Headshot (5G)
Get 10 automag headshot kills in any level

Quote
Go crazy with the Automag on Grunts for best results, You could turn on the Grunt Birthday Party skull for effect. You will get this without even thinking about it

---------------------------------------------------------------

Ewww, Sticky (5G)
Get 5 sticky grenade kills in any level

Quote
You carry a capacity of 6 stickies (3 plasma, 3 spike) so just be patient and be sure to stick the 5 enemies before the level ends

---------------------------------------------------------------

My Clothes (5G)
Plasma Pistol Overcharge and quickly kill 10 Brutes

Quote
The Plasma Pistol and Automag combo is your friend here, shoot an overcharged Plasma Pistol to remove the shields the quickly get a headshot with the Automag. Also, it does not have to be done with Brutes, you can also shoot Jackel shields or Engineers then go in for a quick beatdown to gain the achievement. Just be sure to kill 10 enemies in this way before the level ends. More irritating than difficult this one

---------------------------------------------------------------

Pink and Deadly (5G)
Get 10 Needler supercombine kills on any covenant

Quote
Attempt only on Normal or above, as grunts go down before the supercombine goes off on easy. There should be plenty of Needlers around as Grunts often carry them. Shoot the Needler from mid-distance as enemies easily dodge the needles if you are shooting from far away, shoot too close and you could get damage from the supercombine blast

---------------------------------------------------------------

Stunning! (5G)
Stun a vehicle with an overcharged Plasma Pistol and quickly kill the driver

Quote
Easiest done by using an overcharged plasma pistol on a ghost or chopper, then walk up and beat the driver to death or fire a rocket at them. Also works if an ally stuns a vehicle and you kill the driver. Just remember to be quick

---------------------------------------------------------------

Dark Times (5G)
Kill 5 enemies while using VISR mode

Quote
Another easy one, just turn on the VISR mode and kill 5 enemies. Best done on night levels or indoors to reduce glare and improve visibility

Mombassa Streets/Rookie Specific

Naughty Naughty (5G)
Killing things that are new and different is good, alone or with another ODST

Quote
There are 10 Engineers in the Mombassa Streets at night when playing as the Rookie. You have to kill them all to gain this achievement. Engineers can most easily be killed by shooting them with an overcharged Plasma Pistol

MAP OF ALL ENGINEER LOCATIONS (also shows Audio Log #1 to #29 locations)

---------------------------------------------------------------

Good Samaritan (20G)
Killing things that are new and different is bad, alone or with another ODST

Quote
You must play through the entire campaign from Prepare to Drop to Data Hive without killing any Engineers when you are playing as the Rookie in Mombassa streets at night. Any Engineers killed in levels do not count.

Also, its a handy reminder that when you are playing through the Mombassa streets between the flashback missions and you encounter an engineer who gets caught in a battle and then dies its ok as long as you have not shot it. The Engineers will commit suicide when no other Covenant are left, this does not count as your kill.

If you have shot and killed an Engineer at any point from Prepare to Drop to Data Hive when you are searching for the clues playing as the Rookie in Mombassa streets at night you will most likely not get the Good Samaritan achievement and you will have to start again. It takes an average player approx 3hours to play through to Data Hive on easy.

---------------------------------------------------------------

Listner (5G)
Find the First Audio Log

Tuned In (5G)
Find 3 Audio Logs, alone or with another ODST

All Ears (30G)
Find 15 Audio Logs, alone or with another ODST

Audiophile (75G)
Find all Audio Logs, alone or with another ODST

Quote
Ahh the Audio Logs. There are 29 in Mombassa Streets and the last is in Data Hive but can only be accessed once you have all the Audio Logs from Mombassa Streets. You may have got some already from playing through the campaign but you more than likely have at least a few missing. There are many guides available, from experience i recommend using a map and going through each systematically. Here are some helpful guides and hints below

-This is easiest done Solo, as you can exit in and out of save sessions and collect them at your leisure. If you do this co-op you and your fellow ODSTs will have to get every single one in a single save session... not fun if you lag out or somebody has to leave.

-Enter Mombassa Streets on Easy and find a Mongoose to drive around with
-Use a guide and go through each systematically
-The superintendant gives you clues that an Audio Log is close by, these may be things like
------Car alarms
------Road blocks automatically rising when you try to go past them
------Phones spitting out coins
------The screens around the city giving you directions

-Once you have got an Audio Log for an area the clues will change
------Blue no access displays will be on the signs
------It will be very quiet
------Some screens in the area will be Grey showing a bird with spread wings on them

-The more Audio Logs you find the more supply caches unlock, these are highlighted by a small Superintendent symbol on the city map in VISR mode. Supply caches are filled with either rockets, mongooses, snipers, smgs/pistols.

MAP OF ALL AUDIO LOGS (also shows Engineer locations)
INTERACTIVE MAP OF ALL AUDIO LOGS
- You must already have 1 - 29

---------------------------------------------------------------

Heal Up (5G)
Find the First Medical Kiosk and heal yourself

Quote
OK, this could technically be gained anywhere and is not specific to Mombassa Streets but you will get this during the course of your playthrough as the Rookie towards the first flashback scene

---------------------------------------------------------------

Tourist (5G)
Access and download the city map to your VISR

Quote
You will get this during the course of your playthrough as the Rookie towards the first flashback scene

Firefight Specfic

Be Like Marty (10G)
In Firefight, finish a full round without killing a single enemy

Quote
Can be done on any difficulty but for ease start a Firefught mission on easy with a friend (or using a spare controller) Whoever needs the acheivement hides in the spawn rooms until the round is finished. As you hide, your friend (or you on the spare controller) can complete the round. To make absolutely sure i find it best to make sure you don't throw any grenades, fire a weapon, pick up health, kill any enemies, etc or you may not get the acheivement

---------------------------------------------------------------

Firefight: Alpha Site (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Alpha Site

Firefight: Chasm Ten (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Chasm Ten

Firefight: Crater (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Crater

Firefight: Last Exit (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Last Exit

Firefight: Lost Platoon (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Lost Platoon

Firefight: Rally Point (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Rally Point

Firefight: Security Zone (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Security Zone

Firefight: Windward (10G)
Score over 200,00 points in Firefight on Windward

Quote
Can be done on any difficulty. For those Firefight maps where you can play in a Night or Day setting (e.g. Crater) the time of day does not matter but be aware if you play at Night you will encounter Engineers, or if you play in the Day you will encounter Snipers. Engineers can most easily be taken out with an overcharged Plasma Pistol shot, do this quickly to reduce the help they give to the covenant around them. Snipers... well you know what to do, just make sure you see them first!!

This guide will not give a walkthrough for each Firefight map, however if you need advice or help on a specific map you can ASK THE BRIGADE in the linked thread. If you ask any member of the Brigade they will be happy to help but please treat each with respect, this is done in their own time out of the kindness of their own heart. Aggression or disrespect will not be tolerated.

Vidmaster Challenge Specific

Vidmaster Challenge: Classic (25G)
Finish any level solo on Legendary, on LIVE, with no shots fired or grenades thrown

Quote
So Classic, much easier than you would first think. Start the level and quickly grab the 'Hog in the first open area, making sure to pick up a gunner AND a passenger, the extra armor from the passenger is highly noticable and very useful. Getting past the first 2 wraiths is actually the hardest part of the level. Get past them, grab the ghost on the rock before the tunnel and solo the rest, making sure to boost all the way and as much as possible. There are places where the open space of the level protects you from harm, use these as breather spaces if needed. after that just make sure not to get lost.

A good thing to remember is that you CAN splatter enemys and still get the achievement. This is especially helpful when trying to get past a turret. Splatter the turret, then it can't shoot you after you have passed it.

It can be done as quickly as 02:38 if your really good!!
---------------------------------------------------------------

Vidmaster Challenge: Deja Vu (25G)
Complete Highway on 4-player Legendary LIVE co-op, with Iron, and no 'Hog or Scorpion

Deja Vu is possibly one of the most fun Vidmasters and actually quite easy to do if your prepared and have a good team. At SIP we have a team of brave souls dedicated to helping you with this achievement, runs are planned regularly so if your stuck or would like some of the best help around you could always ASK THE HIGHWAYMEN in the linked thread

If your not going to ask the highwaymen here are some tips and recommendations:
-Dont forget that if you go up the stairs on the left where the first battle is there is a Sniper and Rocket ready to be put to use
-The first underpass houses 2 mongooses and 4 Rocket Launchers with (near) infinite ammo, use them if you want to live!!
-Take enemies out from a distance
-Dont leave Dare and Virgil alone too long, if they're shields are low they will die quickly
-You can hijack Ghosts
-Go through the sections where the spare mongooses and health packs are AT THE SAME TIME, this causes a checkpoint to register everytime giving you less to repeat if somebody dies

The Official SIP Déja Vu Guide on Halo.Bungie.Org

---------------------------------------------------------------

Vidmaster Challenge: Endure (25G)
In Firefight, on any mission, pass the 4th Set on 4-player Heroic LIVE co-op

Quote
OK, so there is no easy way to break this to you but this Vidmaster is Hard, you'l laugh, you'll cry... but mostly you'll cry. Im not going to list a full breakdown on how to achieve this EPIC feat here, theres not enough words but you can find a lot of tips in this thread - the home of Team Punishment.   If you want to set up an official run, ASK THE PUNISHERS Get Endure done with the pros!

Average times for completion of this on Heroic are around the 2hour mark so make sure you and your team are organised and have the time. The easiest maps to gain this on are widely considered to be Alpha Site and Lost Platoon.

Here is the skull breakdown for each Round and Set... Good Luck!!
Set 1 Round 1 - Tough Luck
Set 1 Round 2 - Tough Luck, Catch
Set 1 Round 3 - Tough Luck, Catch, Black Eye
Set 2 Round 1 - Tough Luck, Tilt
Set 2 Round 2 - Tough Luck, Catch, Tilt
Set 2 Round 3 - Tough Luck, Catch, Black Eye, Tilt
Set 3 Round 1 - Tough Luck, Tilt, Famine
Set 3 Round 2 - Tough Luck, Catch, Tilt, Famine
Set 3 Round 3 - Tough Luck, Catch, Black eye, Tilt, Famine
Set 4 Round 1 - Tough Luck, Tilt, Famine, Mythic
Set 4 Round 2 - Tough Luck, Catch, Tilt, Famine, Mythic
