Games with Gold for May 2017
« on: April 21, 2017, 05:05:05 PM »

Does the new list of free games bring May flowers for you? Hopefully it does. As always any Xbox One game will be yours to play for as long as you have a Gold membership, with the 360 games being yours even if you drop to Silver status. All four games will work on Xbox One through the backward compatibility program.

Starting off the month for Xbox One will be Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut. This is a fast paced platformer that lets you switch between different dimensions. Starting on the 16th you’ll be able to download Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris. This is a puzzle top-down adventure game with a preference for multiplayer.

Dash through tricky levels and transform the whole world at will in this fast-paced award-winning platformer.

Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut combines graphics that pack a visual punch and tight controls with the challenge of retro era platforming.

Fluidly morph between two dynamically different dream worlds to solve puzzles and combat grueling enemies and bosses.

Key Features
– Blaze through 33 levels including a brand new Rise of the Owlverlord adventure.
– Each level transforms between two contrasting dreamworlds!
– Easy and hard difficulty modes for all levels and bosses.
– Intuitive controls and smooth game flow; master the tight controls and defeat the devious trials ahead.
– Full HD 1080p with a smooth framerate: Giana’s dreamworlds leap off the screen with gorgeous 3D graphics that morph before your very eyes.
– Experience a dual crossfading soundtrack by Chris Hülsbeck and Machinae Supremacy.
– Rich extras: Halloween- and Christmas-themed levels accessible from the start.

Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris is the sequel to the critically acclaimed Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light. This all-new adventure takes place in the Temple of Osiris, hidden deep in the deserts of Egypt. Lara Croft arrives at the temple, hoping to be the first inside, but rival treasure hunter Carter Bell has beaten her to the entrance. They each seek the Staff of Osiris, but they discover more than they bargained for. Upon entering the tomb, Carter removes the mythical Staff from its resting place and inadvertently triggers a trap cursing them both and unleashing the evil god Set. But the staff also awakens the gods Horus and Isis, the son and wife of Osiris. Now free from their ancient prison, they join forces with Lara and Carter in order to resurrect Osiris, the only god capable of removing the curse. As Lara and her companions fight their way across the sands and through ancient tombs, they will face gods and monsters of myth and legend. With the fate of the world at stake, Lara must uncover the fragments of Osiris to stop Set from enslaving all mankind.

The Xbox 360 will be starting off on the 1st with Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II. Another adventure with Starkiller after being betrayed by Darth Vader. Another Star Wars game picks up on the 16th with LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga. The LEGO compilation of episodes I through VI in the usual shenanigans of the LEGO games.

Betrayed by Darth Vader for the last time, Starkiller has escaped and faces a new journey to find his true identity. Unleash fury – wield dual lightsabers and new force powers to crush your enemies. Unleash truth – sequel to the award-winning story, continue the epic Star Wars saga.

Kick Some Brick in I through VI! Play through all six Star Wars movies in one videogame! Adding new characters, new levels, and new gameplay features with enhanced Force Powers, new power-ups and new Challenge Modes.
