Looking For Group - Trials of Osiris
« on: May 27, 2015, 04:32:11 AM »

Since Trials of Osiris is considered an endgame PVP activity, I decided to separate it into its own thread.  Here is my experience of being carried to the Lighthouse: http://spartan1project.com/forum/index.php?topic=694.msg159467#msg159467

This weekend (5-30-15 - 6-1-15), Brother Vance is selling Leg Armor at 5 wins and the Fusion Rifle at 7 wins.

-Titan: Greaves of the Exile - 42 Light, 77 Intellect, 74 Strength, Heavy Ammo & Scout Rifle Ammo Perks
-Warlock: Legs of the Exile - 42 Light, 79 Intellect, 71 Discipline, Special Ammo & Auto Rifle Ammo Perks
-Hunter: Boots of the Exile - 42 Light, 147 Discipline, Special Ammo & Scout Rifle Ammo Perks
-Weapon: Exile's Curse Fusion Rifle - Solar 365 Damage, First Perk: Hip Fire, Second Perks: Quickdraw, Enhanced Battery, Single Point Sling, Third Perk: Hot Swap

I might run the Trials on my Titan this weekend for the leg armor.  Extra Heavy Ammo is always good.  I'm tempted to just ascend my Crota's End boots on my Hunter with the Heavy Ammo perk on it already and get to Level 34 there.

I got the Exile's Curse fusion rifle as well from the Gold Tier package last weekend.  I haven't had a chance to really use it yet though I have upgraded it all the way.

I'm really thinking they need to create a lighthouse bracket where folks who have gone flawless have to play against nothing but other people who have.

I made it to level 5 in iron banner, but couldn't even get five wins on the same card to buy the helm in trials.

It's devolved to where the same folks are going to continue to get stomped on, and the same ones will continue to make repeated lighthouse trips.

I wouldn't mind trying for the chest piece the Disciple's got this week. Anyone up for a few rounds?

I really need help with this. I'm fantastic in PvP but I don't have enough 360 friends willing to do it and the people I regularly play with now lack the skill.

Most wins I've ever got on a card is 4...

FYI:

From Derek Carroll..

Enjoy this weekend's Trials, as they will be your last until their triumphant return, later this year!

Trials is taking a break to make room for other sweet stuff, like next week's Crucible Preview Event and new hotness in The Taken King.

Basically, Trials will be back soon, but the Taken King expansion is going to take over for a bit.

ok guys, let's get this ToO thread restarted!

So the map this week is The Cauldron.......but that's not the big thing for this weekend's Trials.

For Hallo-weekend, Bungie has decided to scare the ever loving -blam!- out of every hardcore Trials player by removing revives AND radar for this weekend.  Keep your head on a swivel, grab your Nighstalker Hunters and Sunsinger Warlocks, grab your Thorns and shotguns and have at it!

I'm watching Gernader Jake's stream at work right now on Twitch and here are a few tips.

Nightstalker Hunters:  Run Quiver, Keen Scout, have smoke deal damage over time and have the smoke/nade effects last longer, and equip either Graviton Forefeit for the shade step or Khepri's Sting for the extra melee charges.

Warlocks:  Self res is a MUST.  It's pretty straightforward after that.
