Title: Games with Gold for September 2017
Post by: Stig Assassin on August 24, 2017, 04:36:30 PM

The new set of Games have been announced for the month of September. As always, all titles on the Xbox One are yours to keep as long as you have a Gold membership while the 360 titles are yours even if you drop to Silver. Xbox One owners can play all four games thanks to backwards compatibility.

The first game for the Xbox One is Forza Motorsport 5: Racing Game of the Year Edition. This is the Forza title that launched with the system, and the edition that includes the Top Gear car pack. For anyone like me that goes for all the achievements, you will need to purchase two additional car packs or the Car Pass to unlock them all. For the second half of the month Xbox One owners get Oxenfree. This is a point-and-click adventure kind of like Telltale games, but less cutscenes I believe. If it sounds interesting to you there are a lot of positive reviews from people that played it.

( Forza Motorsport 5 Racing Game of the Year Edition includes the Top Gear Car Pack, including ten additional cars for you to collect, race, and customize, featuring the 2013 Holden #10 Holden Xbox Racing Team Commodore VF, 1966 Chaparral #66 Chaparral Cars 2E and the 2013 Audi RS4 Avant. Forza Motorsport 5 is your ultimate car fantasy, only possible on Xbox One. Featuring an entirely new graphics engine, 16-player multiplayer, cloud-powered gameplay, and hundreds of perfectly recreated cars, Forza Motorsport 5 is where dreams are driven.

Oxenfree is a supernatural thriller about a group of friends who unwittingly open a ghostly rift. Play as Alex, a bright, rebellious teenager who brings her new stepbrother Jonas to an overnight party on an old military island. The night takes a terrifying turn when you unwittingly open a ghostly gate spawned from the island’s cryptic past. How you deal with these events, your peers, and the ominous creatures you’ve unleashed is up to you.

YOU determine every aspect of Alex’s story while exploring Edwards Island, uncovering the base’s dark past, and changing the course of your friends’ lives.

Starring: Erin Yvette (The Wolf Among Us, Tales From the Borderlands)
Gavin Hammon (The Walking Dead, The Wolf Among Us, Tomb Raider)
Britanni Johnson (Borderlands, Borderlands 2)
Music and Sound by SCNTFC

The 360 games will be kicking off with Hydro Thunder Hurricane. Another racing title early in the month, this time taking place entirely on the water. Rounding out September will be Battlefield 3. The large scale destruction and combat will be available until the end of September. Just a word of advice for some of you. Be sure to download this even if you already have it free from your EA Access membership. Through Games with Gold you will own it permanently instead of only temporarily through the EA Access membership.

( all-new sequel to the legendary arcade hit features amazing dynamic water physics, transformable rocket-powered boats, gorgeous visuals and over-the-top interactive environments. Single player games include Race and Championship, and two brand new modes: Ring Master and the explosive Gauntlet. Combine local 4-player split-screen and online multiplayer games with 8 players over Xbox LIVE.

( 3 leaps ahead of the competition with the power of Frostbite™ 2, the next installment of DICE’s cutting-edge game engine. This state-of-the-art technology is the foundation on which Battlefield 3 is built, delivering superior visual quality, a grand sense of scale, massive destruction, dynamic audio and incredibly lifelike character animations. As bullets whiz by, walls crumble, and explosions throw you to the ground, the battlefield feels more alive and interactive than ever before. In Battlefield 3, players step into the role of the elite U.S. Marines where they will experience heart-pounding single player missions and competitive multiplayer actions ranging across diverse locations from around the globe including Paris, Tehran and New York.
