This week we had the annual Bungie holiday, returned to the old west, got some free DLC and had a massive sale. For more details on each read on!

Yesterday was the annual holiday that’s not really a holiday. It’s Bungie Day! Bungie revealed the list of requirements needed for the second year of the Moments of Triumph. Four different rewards are available this time with each being awarded after meeting two requirements. You can see the full list for the Moments of Triumph and several other exclusive rewards in our post.

Other Gaming News

Microsoft has been working to refresh the avatar system and this week there was a new sneak peak of a special feature. Wheelchairs will be available for use by those that want their avatar to be more like them. It’s not clear if these will be part of the standard options, or if you have to pay though. Here’s the preview of the chair and new avatar model.

It’s been a long time since Red Dead Redemption has been in the news, but now it is. Microsoft announced early in the week that it would be available for backward compatibility starting today. Since then, sales for the game increased by 6,000%, reportedly. It was the third highest voted game in the user feedback polls for backwards compatible games so obviously a lot of people are happy. Even better, a majority of the DLC is currently available for free through the Xbox Store. Unfortunately, the big Undead Nightmare pack is not. Be sure to check it out while you can and grab the DLC while it’s free.

Three more games will be added to “The Vault” and those games are Need For Speed, Unravel and Plants Vs Zombies Garden Warfare 2. For more details check it out right here.

If you happen to have Battlefield: Hardline you might want to check this out. Battlefield Hardline’s fourth DLC titled “Betrayal” will be Free Starting today until July 12. For more details check it out right here.

If you’re a PC player you might want to read this: Ubisoft will be celebrating it’s 30th anniversary and will be giving away free games each month. You can still pick up Junes free game which is “Prince of Persia: Sands of Time.” For more details click here.

If you’re planning to play Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 Don’t forget that there will be a double XP weekend starting today – July 8 and ending on Monday – July 11

Deals of the Week

No sale links this week. It’s the Ultimate Summer game sale with 250 items on sale. We decided not to clutter this up with a wall of links, but the real reason is nobody wants to spend hours making all of them. So, you can find your sales for Xbox One and Xbox 360 in the links. Windows 10 is also having a sale so be sure to check those out if you have it. Be sure to check the bundles in the Xbox One list. There’s some great deals where buying the complete edition of a game may be cheaper than the season pass. Feel free to share any good deals you find, or games to recommend below.

The screenshot contest will close voting tomorrow afternoon. Be sure to get your votes in if you haven’t already!

Our video contest also kicked off recently. You’ve got plenty of time, but don’t forget to post your submissions!
