Mass Effect: Andromeda Discussion Thread
« on: November 01, 2016, 08:17:45 PM »

Making this thread so people can Discuss their thought, Theories and Etc on the game. Another reason is because N7 Day is almost here. I feel like this game deserves it's own thread.

Quote
" The trailer is presented as a recruitment ad for would-be space explorers and shows a couple of armored N7 personnel standing on the moon while the narrator speaks. The teaser ends with a notice that reads "Orientation begins on Nov 7."

I know it's not much but it's something.

I've been playing the early access trial from EA Access and the game play is standard Mass Effect, decent story so far and the characters are more enjoyable to me at least. I don't know if its the options I am picking but everyone is infinitely more snarky than in previous games with funny one liners and actions. I've been streaming it lately on Beam because that's been faster and more steady than Twitch for me. People I was in the party with were seeing what I was doing pretty much instantly with less than 1 second of latency which to me is pretty damn impressive. Couldn't get everyone in the party into the beam stream though because I guess the app isn't available to those not in the preview program which sucks.

Mass Effect Andromeda Companion App Launching
Mass Effect Andromeda has a companion app for the game's multiplayer mode, allowing players to keep track of their progress, adjust their active character's loadout, send out strike teams, and more. You can also use the app to check how you're doing in multiplayer challenges and spend skill points. The app is already out in Canada, Ireland, Romania, and Singapore, and launches worldwide on March 20. You can check here for more details.

Being able to send out the strike teams is actually really freaking handy and a way to earn things in game while at work or something.

Edit-The app has been up since at least yesterday and I've been sending out teams through it last night and today so far to level the 2 teams I have so far up and start gaining rewards. The rewards are only for single player though it seems but still, stuff is stuff in the early game I am at so far.

Mass Effect: Andromeda 1.07 Patch/Hotfix
BioWare has released Mass Effect Andromeda update 1.07 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, which is “just a hotfix.” It looks like the size of the Xbox One patch is around 875MB.

The PS4’s Update History only says 1.07 contains “various bug fixes and stability improvements,” but according to Producer Michael Gamble, you can expect these three notable fixes:

• Athletic outfit available mid-playthrough,
• fixed a crash with the SOS quest.
• Fixed >1080p UI placement.

EA’s Help Forum previously listed these as the patch notes, but has since deleted them:

• Fixed issue where server would auto disconnect when sending strike teams on APEX missions.
• Fixed a crash on UNC Outlaw when nearing outpost of signal source. (Kadara S.O.S.)
• The Athletic Casual Outfit will now unlock for all entitled players (Deluxe edition content)
• Fixed an issue which prevented completion of the Nomad upgrades / Shield Crafting quest. Please travel back to the Tempest in order to trigger completion.

Source: EA Forum/Polygon

BTW I own the Deluxe Edition and never got my casual outfit so hopefully with this hotfix now I get it.

Report: Mass Effect Andromeda Not Receiving Single-Player DLC

It's been rumored for a good while now just thought I share it with you guys. I hope it's not true since I'm looking forward to the DLC.
