If this is real I have a feeling the remastered COD4 is only going to be the campaign. Can't see them doing the MP as it would take away people from their new game.

That would definitely take a HUGE chunk of their players away, wrcfan. It might come as remade maps...on the new game/dlc though.

Dumb question of the day: Is this supposed to be a sequel to Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare?

If COD: Modern Warfare turns out to be true looking forward to it, I really hope Modern Warfare 2-3 come out sometime in the future, since those are one of my favorites.

no since AW was made Sledgehammer not Infinity Ward, they each do their own stories.

I'm in as long as the MW multiplayer remastered keeps the same settings.  Really sick of the wall running and stupid special abilities crap.

Here's a teaser that's a bit more official. Apparently it's the new ending to a match on Nuketown.

That last ad has some weird wording as far as marketing goes. "Only 10 maps" is a very negative sounding promotion. I don't see the word "only" used unless it has to do with pricing or something similar. Makes me question the credibility of the ad leak a bit.

true, one other thing, the IW logo. Normally the "i" is red with the atom symbol around it

we go to space, game doesn't seem that bad.

Here's the break down of the story from Activision:

Quote
"Infinity Ward breaks new ground by exploring the weight of leadership and its responsibilities. In a desperate time of overwhelming adversity, the player, as Captain of their own warship, must take command against a relentless enemy. Experienced soldiers are thrust into extraordinary circumstances that will test their training and reveal their true character as they learn to lead and to make the hard decisions necessary to achieve victory.

The game also introduces stunning, never before seen environments, new weaponry and inventive player abilities to Call of Duty. The entire campaign – from boots-on-ground combat to piloting high speed space-fighters – occurs as a near seamless experience with few visible loading times, and delivers the hallmark, blockbuster franchise moments that fans love."

We’ve also had this teaser of sorts from Infinity Ward, the studio behind this year’s instalment, talking up the series' history and promising “a new level of storytelling”.

the new one looks more like halo than halo.  I'm in it for MW multiplayer.  Of course activi$ion is gonna tie the purchase to a new version & jack the price.  hopefully the "mile high club" is back.   ;)
