Microsoft’s press conference at E3 2014 confirmed previous leaks: all of the Halo games featuring Master Chief as the protagonist will be released as a single collection for the Xbox One on November 11, 2014.
The collection is intended to refresh gamers’ memories of the Master Chief saga, which includes Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Halo 2 Anniversary (a remastered version of Halo 2), Halo 3, and Halo 4. All of the campaign missions and multiplayer maps from each game will be included in the collection. 343 claims that all four games will render natively at 1080p and 60 frames per second.
For the achievement hunters out there, the collection includes a mega-set of achievements worth 4000 gamerscore.
Purchasing Halo: The Master Chief Collection will also give you an invitation to the multiplayer beta for Halo 5: Guardians, which features a competitive arena-style environment. The beta will be playable during the holiday season of 2014.
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is scheduled for release on November 11, 2014 exclusively for the Xbox One, and will retail for $59.99 on release day.
