Quantum Break: The show and the game

Quantum Break

A whole new meaning to Bullet Time.

Quantum Break kicked off Xbox’s Gamescom briefing by showing us some new gameplay. Fans of older Remedy games may notice the studio’s signature blend of action and story wrapped up together nicely.

After the gameplay demo ended by showing us some a mysterious, and no doubt important, plot element, we got to see our first glimpse of the accompanying live-action show. The show will tie into the game by giving us a glimpse at the so-called “bad guys” while the game shows us the “good guys.” The show will also feature an all-star cast including:

Shawn Ashmore (“X-Men: Days of Future Past”) as Jack Joyce
Dominic Monaghan (“Lost”) as William Joyce
Aidan Gillen (“Game of Thrones”) as Paul Serene
Lance Reddick (“Fringe”) as Martin Hatch
Marshall Allman (“True Blood”) as Charlie Wincott
Patrick Heusinger (“Black Swan”) as Liam Burke
Mimi Michaels (“The Ugly Truth”) as Fiona Miller
Amelia Rose Blaire (“True Blood”) as Amy Ferraro
Brooke Nevin as Emily Burke
Courtney Hope as Beth Wilder
Jacqueline Pinol as Sofia Amaral
Jeannie Bolet as Kate Ogawa
Sean Durrie as Nick Marsters

Finishing with probably the most important note was that the game will be released in April 2016.
