Other Gaming News

Xbox It’s that time of the month again. Microsoft has revealed the games in the Games with Gold program for March. From the 1st through 15th you will be able to download the most recent reboot of Tomb Raider on the 360. For the rest of the month Bioshock Infinite will be available to download. Xbox One users will be able to get Rayman Legends, the first retail game to be offered in this program, and #IDARB will continue to be available as well.

Also announced is a celebration prize coming in April. Over 100 million games have been downloaded through the program and Microsoft is giving us more for the milestone. Each platform will have their normal number of free games doubled for the month. That means 360 players will get four new games, and Xbox One owners will get two new games. This isn’t an April Fool’s joke, unless Microsoft is planning a big one this year.

Batman Arkham Knight A new trailer was released this week for the upcoming Arkham Knight game. No new information was given so just enjoy a couple minutes of the Dark Knight, Villains and a tease of the story.

Battlefield Hardline The new cop versus robbers shooter, Battlefield Hardline, is approaching release. To celebrate, DICE has a double XP weekend through March 1st for all Battlefield 4 players. If that’s not enough there’s more. EA Access members will be able to get Hardline on March 12th, five days ahead of release. The only catch is you are limited to ten hours of play during that period. The rest of us will be able to get it on the 17th in North America and the 20th in Europe.

Trials Fusion It’s time to go back to the future! For those of you with an interest in flipping bikes and catastrophic landings there’s a new playground available. The new Fault One Zero DLC features 10 new tracks to frustrate you with as well as more squirrels and robots. This DLC costs five dollars on all platforms or it is available for free with the season pass.

Forza Horizon 2 This week had a unique partnership reveal that could be amazing. Turn 10, the developers of the Forza franchise, have been working with Universal Studious to release an expansion based on a popular movie series. Have I teased enough or did you just skip to the video by now? Coming in March is the Fast and the Furious expansion for Forza Horizon 2. It is a standalone game, which means you don’t need to own the original game to play it. It’s completely free to download for the first two weeks then goes up to $10 after that. You will be able to download it for Xbox 360 or One on March 27th. If you’ve never played a Forza game and want to give it a try this is the perfect time since it’s free.

Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 Grab your swords and get ready to swing at some fruit! Seriously though, don’t do that. Fruit Ninja Kinect 2 has a release date and it’s coming fast. You will be able to test your ninja reflexes on March 18th, only on the Xbox One. Can you make the cut?

GTA V The day many of you have been waiting for has been dated. GTA Online is getting the long-awaited Heists mode on March 10th. The 4-player cooperative game mode allows players to complete several multi-part robberies in an organized and efficient manner. Alongside Heists, other features will be released, but no further information has been given.

For PC players, the game has been pushed back to an April 14th release date. The reason for the delay was to add further polish, and to ensure Heists and other features will be operational on release day. To make up for the delay, anybody who has already pre-ordered the game will receive an additional GTA$200,000 in GTA Online, alongside the previous $500,000.
