Xbox 360 Microsoft has announced that a new preview program will be coming to the Xbox 360 this month. Much like the Xbox One version of the program, select people will be invited and receive early access to updates. If you’ve been chosen you’ll receive a message from Xbox Live and need to register through your account settings on the 360. The first set of things planned for the program is connectivity speed tests and better troubleshooting for common network issues. It’s still early so details on this are limited.
Rock Band 4 Let’s get ready to rock! Harmonix is back once again with the announcement of Rock Band 4. It’s still early so details are being worked out. Still, we do know that your previously purchased songs will be available to you. The instruments however, are still in limbo. They are trying to get the old equipment to work on the new consoles, but they can’t say if that will happen at this point. Either way, new instruments will be available for purchase, but they’re dropping the keyboard. More details are planned for E3 so keep an eye, or ear, out for that.
Far Cry 4 New DLC is coming next week for Far Cry 4. The Valley of the Yeti DLC will have you stranded on a mountain fighting for your life. You’ll face Cultists and the legendary Yeti in co-op or single player. It will be available March 10th as part of the season pass or available on its own. Watch the trailer below to see what you can expect.

Battlefield Hardline Hardline’s release is quickly approaching. EA has given details for their planned expansions and the usual Premium upgrade. Premium members will get custom masks that apply benefits to your class, 12 Gold battlepacks as well as a Gun Bench to customize your gun. Premium will also have an exclusive members-only tournament and a Legendary Status to replay the progression system. Also included in the Premium pass will be four expansions called: Criminal Activity, Robbery, Getaway and Betrayal. All four packs will focus on the story and Premium members get two weeks early access. The first two are slated for Summer, Getaway is coming in Autumn and Betrayal is coming in 2016. Premium will be available for purchase for $50, or each DLC will be available on their own.
steam A surprise reveal at GDC was the release month for the long teased Steam Box. Unlike traditional consoles made by one company, the Steam Box has 15 competing companies with different designs, hardware and versions. Prices start around the current console price at $480 then skyrocket as high as $5,000 depending on the brand and hardware. One part you will want to watch closely is some versions will include the new Steam controller, while others will not. You’ll be able to own one of these starting some time this November. If you want to start shopping the full list of what will be available can be found on Steam.
Gigantic Motiga announced a partneshship with Microsoft this week at the Game Developers Conference. They are developing a new game called Gigantic that will be free-to-play and will be available on Xbox One and Windows 10. Gigantic will also support cross-platform play.
