Halo 5: Guardians Halo 5: Guardians may not be coming out until October, but that won’t stop some retailers from offering pre-order bonuses really early. Gamestop revealed their preorder bonus for Halo 5 this week. If you preorder the game from Gamestop, you will get a code to unlock Spartan Locke’s armor and helmet in multiplayer. Halo 5: Guardians will be released on October 27th, 2015.

The Master Chief Collection This week, 343 Industries released a new patch for Halo: The Master Chief Collection. The patch fixes issues with ranks, adds quitting and betrayal penalties, and fixes some bugs in each of the 4 multiplayer engines. The patch notes are available on the Halo website. 343 also wrote in the patch notes that the work on the remastered Halo 3: ODST campaign and the Relic map remake are on schedule for a May release. 343 will announce a release date for both of these remakes soon.

Destiny This week, Bungie started their series of livestreams on Twitch that will reveal new details on the House of Wolves expansion for Destiny. This week, players were given a tour of the Queen’s Bay in the Reef which is the new social space. All players will be able to access the Queen’s Bay regardless if they have the expansion or not. Some of the new vendors were shown. Petra from the Queen’s Wrath is back as the main quest giver for the House of Wolves expansion. Also shown during the stream were Legendary and Exotic weapons being able to be upgraded to 365 attack. Ascendent materials can also be exchanged with the Speaker in the Tower for other ascendent materials or glimmer. House of Wolves drops on May 19th, 2015, but Bungie has a few more reveal livestreams planned for the next 2 Wednesdays before the release date, so stay tuned.
