Microsoft had a few things they did this week as well as first looks at a couple of games. The sales are also strong with this one. Quite a few Star Wars items are on sale until May the 4th (be with you). And here’s a fun fact for you, not a single person in the group had a birthday this week.

Gaming News and Info

Destiny Bungie revealed more details on the Trials of Osiris Crucible gamemode this week. The Trials of Osiris will be a PVP endgame activity that will feature 3v3 elimination style gameplay. Basically, if you wipe out the enemy team, you win the round. Winning 5 rounds wins you the game. Every game you win is crucial to getting closer to nice loot. However, if you lose 3 times, your trial is over. But, you can enter as many times as you like. Trials of Osiris will run every Friday until the Tuesday reset at 5 AM ET. Call of Duty Black Ops 3 This week, Activision and Treyarch pulled the curtain off their next game, Call of Duty Black Ops III. The game will feature a campaign that is designed for 4-player co-op play, new multiplayer features, and in Treyarch-fashion: Zombies. Black Ops III will also have a multiplayer beta for those who preorder the game. Call of Duty Black Ops III releases on November 6th, 2015. Check out the reveal trailer below:

Microsoft Lots of news from Microsoft this week. Starting things off, the Xbox 360 has received a new update adding a long requested feature. Xbox 360 users can now attach an external hard drive up to 2TB and use that space. Until now, any external drive was limited to 32GB of space no matter how much memory it had. Additional changes from the update include a purchase history in your settings, Passward reset at sign-in if you forgot it, and network statistics like the Xbox One has.

Also announced this week is the free games coming to both systems. Starting today you can download Mafia 2 on the Xbox 360, Castle Storm Definitive Edition on the Xbox One as well as Pool Nation FX on the One if you haven’t already done so. Later this month you will be able to get F1 2013 for the 360.

If you’re out of Gold or never had it then you’ll be happy to hear it’s a free Gold Weekend, but only on the 360. Jump into some online modes with friends and have fun now through May 3rd.

Batman: Arkham Knight The Dark Knight has come out of the shadows to give us another glimpse at the upcoming game, Arkham Knight. In the latest trailer Catwoman, Nightwing and Robin are revealed as allies to fight with you in the game. A tag team mechanic seems to be added for more interesting take downs, but that hasn’t been confirmed as part of gameplay. Check out the trailer for yourself and grab the game when it releases on June 26th.
