Part two of our conference summaries focuses on Sony. They had several long gameplay demos which showed some great games they have coming down the line.
For those of you who were left in shock with God of War 3’s ending, well you’re in for a surprise, I’m not going to spoil anything. If you’ve been playing the series you’ll know what I’m talking about. For more information check it out in our post. Almost 10 minutes of gameplay was shown.
Days Gone was announced with a trailer at the beginning of the conference. After the show, the Sony Blog was able to shed some light on the story of it.
“It’s about desperation, hope, transformation, loss, madness, discovery, friendship, exploration, brotherhood, regret and love. In the end, Days Gone is about what makes us human. It’s about how even when confronted with such enormous tragedy, we find a reason to live. Hope never dies.”
The game is currently in Development and no release date has been announced.
The Last Guardian was announced a while back and finally made a debut again in this years E3. Many players have been waiting for this game for so long, but don’t worry it’s finally coming sooner than expected. For more details and videos of the game go here.
Sony had the return of “Horizon Zero Dawn” next. Not often do we have female lead characters, but this game does and she’s very skilled with her Bow. Not only do you get to hunt down Robot Creatures (Some Resemble Dinosaurs) but can tame them as well. In a way it’s sort of like Tomb Raider but way better with a bigger world to play on. Something really cool about the game is that the game is set in the future but feels so prehistoric, For example the weapons and the Robot creatures look futuristic but the way the people are outfitted and talk seem so in the past (maybe it’s just me). The game will be out on February 28, 2017 and will be exclusively for the PS4. Here’s a video that might explain it better:
Detroit: Become Human is the story of an android police investigator where you make choices as you go along that will determine the course of the game. Every choice has a consequence as you can see in the trailer.
At the moment not much is known about Resident Evil 7: Biohazard, but one thing is for sure we won’t be using any of the main characters of the main series such as: Chris Redfield, Leon Kennedy, Jill Valentine and Etc. For more information on RE7 check it out in our post.
Developer Impulse Gear are developing a game titled “Farpoint” and it’s exclusively for the Playstation VR. Here’s a little summary of the game:
After crash landing you have to fight to survive as you explore and uncover the planet’s secrets. Your only hope of escape is to keep moving and discover the fate of your team.
Something cool about this game is that you’ll be using a PS VR Aim Controller which is like a gun. You’ll get to aim in Farpoint just as you would in real life.
The PlayStation VR had previously been announced, but we now have a release date and price point. You will be able to get the headset for $399 on October 13th. There will be about 30 games available at launch with over 50 planned to be available by the end of the year. Several of the titles were revealed and teased. You can see it all here.
Sony’s E3 conference showed us a new demo for Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare. This was our first look at gameplay which is considerably better than it first seemed. If you’d like to see the video click here.
By now I’m sure many people know that there will be a Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remaster and the release date is November 4. Players who pre-order the Legacy Edition of Infinite Warfare or other Editions (Excluding Standard Edition) on PS4 can access Modern Warfare the game a month early.
If you guys watched Sony’s E3 conference you might have heard that Crash Bandicoot is getting remastered. To be specific, 3 games will be remastered which is: Crash Bandicoot, Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex strikes Back and lastly Crash Bandicoot: Warped and will be releasing on Playstation 4. It wasn’t confirmed if it’ll come in a bundle or will they be sold separately. Are you guys ready to stop Dr. Neo Cortex?
I’ve got exciting news for those of you who grew up playing Crash Bandicoot. Crash will be an Exclusive (PS4) character on the upcoming game Skylanders Imaginators reason being is because it is his 20th Anniversary Celebration. The game will be available for other consoles as well. For those that may be concerned he is still the same guy you grew up with and yet after these 20 years he still can’t talk. This time you’ll get to create your own Skylander all you need is to have a great Imagination.
If anyone has ever played any Lego games you’ll know they are fun to play, especially the ones based on movies because they change the scenes a bit and make it funny. Sony’s conference did show Lego Star War: The Force Awakens and shared a few announcements. PS4 and Xbox One players can download a demo for Free. Also PS4 players will get early access to “The Nima Outpost” but it is now available on Xbox Live.
Many people were surprised to see Hideo Kojima back at E3. He announced a new game titled “Death Stranding” no details were given in what kind of game it is or a release date. Check it out in the post here.
I know many of you weren’t expecting a Spiderman, but sadly it’s going to be exclusively for the PS4. Also the game will not be in any way related to the movie Spiderman: Homecoming. I say the game is in good hands with Insomniac Games. For more details on the game check here.
Closing out the Sony conference was the return to Days Gone, which was announced earlier in the conference. The previous reveal was purely a cinematic trailer, however they closed with a long demo of gameplay. This appears to be heavily focused on fighting hordes of zombies so if that has your interest you’ll enjoy this.
Just like Microsoft’s, if you’d rather watch the full conference then watch it below. PlayStation had a pre-show leading up to the start so jump to 30 minutes for the opening of the conference.
