For the second part of our E3 update we look at Ubisoft, Sony and Nintendo announcements and reveals.
The news most of you have been waiting for was revealed. Destiny 2 will be coming September 6th to console, and October 24th for PC. The Beta has also been dated with early access for pr-orders starting on July 18th for PS4, and July 19th for Xbox One. An open beta will begin on July 21st with all phases of the beta closing July 23rd. PC players unfortunately don’t have a date during this time, instead one is planned sometime in August.

Other Gaming News
Ubisoft officially revealed Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle at its E3 2017 press conference and it will be released on August 29 for the Nintendo Switch. The game will be developed by Ubisoft’s Milan and Paris teams. The game looks pretty amazing and interesting. For more details on the game you can check it out in our blog post.
Announced at Microsoft’s Conference and expanded on during Ubisoft’s, Assassin’s Creed Origins had a flood of trailers and pre-order details during E3. There were some significant changes to the game, but most of this was covered in the Microsoft section. For more details check the thread about it.
The Crew 2 is taking a turn to more professional racing. In the original you play a character working his way up a gang by beating them in street races, but this time you have the option for the real sports as well. Expanding to track, airplane, and boat racing there’s a large selection of things to do in this one. For more you can see it in our blog post.
Nothing new was announced for the game but a new trailer was shown at E3 and you can watch it here. Also, a new mobile game titled South Park: Phone Destroyer was announced at E3 and you can see the details here.
Transference was revealed during the Ubisoft press conference, an upcoming movie/game. The title is the result of a collaboration between Ubisoft and SpectreVision, a production company co-founded by Elijah Wood. For more details and the trailer check it out right here.
During Ubisoft’s E3 2017 press conference, the publisher unveiled a new pirate-themed multiplayer game called Skull and Bones. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot introduced the new game as “building off the legacy of one of our most popular games,” seemingly referring to Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag.” For more details on the game head over to our blog post.
Continuing with the Just Dance series, Ubisoft announced at E3 that Just Dance 2018 would be releasing later this year. The game will have a tracklist with over 40 new songs, with some fan favorite artists including Beyonce, Bruno Mars and Ariana Grande. For more details on the game head on over here.
A new IP from Ubisoft is a space adventure game called Starlink: Battle for Atlas. You control a spaceship and use it to explore different worlds and fight the enemies you encounter. It comes across a lot like a No Man’s Sky style, with more action than exploring. The main feature though is a toys-to-life component of the game. You’ll get a stand that will plug into your controller and the ship is put together on top of that. It works with the game by removing the weapons, pilot or ship pieces to swap abilities or weapon types on the fly. There has been some mention that all of these changes can be made completely within the game, but it is purpose built for the toys-to life format. Check it out in the trailer.
Steep is getting its first expansion later this year. As a game focused on winter sports it makes sense that they’re adding an Olympics DLC just before the Olympic winter games start early next year. If you want to prove yourself as the best slalom, halfpipe or skicross player around then be sure to grab this when it releases on December 5th.
Ubisoft promised to show the first gameplay from Far Cry 5 and that’s exactly what they did. A bit of shooting, some co-op work and a lot of explosions. It’s best if you check it out here.
The first game came out 14 years ago and for a while now it was rumored that the next installment was in the works, and this week at E3 it turned out to be true. To clarify, this game is a prequel to the first game. For more details head over to our blog post.
Sony started the show with a new story trailer for Uncharted: The Lost Legacy. Original meant as DLC for Uncharted 4, it is now a standalone game that will be available on August 22nd.
Sony has officially announced the next expansion for Horizon: Zero Dawn. Titled The Frozen Wilds, the expansion takes Aloy to a snowy wilderness. For more details on the upcoming expansion check it out in our blog post.
First teased last year, Days Gone is a new PlayStation exclusive that seems to be a zombie survival, stealth, adventure game. This time we saw our first piece of story details as the main character goes out looking for a friend that went missing. Check it out here for all the zombies you’ll ever want to see.
Monster Hunter World was announced at Sony’s E3 2017 press conference this week. The game is expected to launch in early 2018. The game is also launching for the Xbox One and later for PC. For more details on the game click here.
At the Sony E3 2017 press conference, the company announced that a remake or remastered version of the beloved adventure game Shadow of the Colossus is in the works for PS4, it wasn’t clear if it’s one of those two. For more details, go here.
In Sony’s E3 Conference a new video for Marvel vs Capcom: Infinite was shown giving us more details on the story mode for the game. For more details head over here.
Sony’s E3 2017 press conference showed a new trailer for the upcoming Call of Duty: WWII, showcasing some of the varied environments you’ll be fighting in as part of the game’s multiplayer mode. To be honest, nothing was really shown except for this video:

During Sony’s E3 2017 press conference Studio Polyarc announced Moss, a single-player action-adventure puzzle game for PlayStation VR, It will launch this holiday. God of War had a moderately long gameplay trailer showing a bit more of the story. The biggest detail it provided was an early 2018 release window. You can watch it below, or see the thread about it here.
Sony finally announced more details for Quantic Dream’s upcoming PS4-Exclusive game, Detroit: Become Human. However, a release date was not announced. They did show us a trailer giving us more information on the main character and his cause. For more details check it out right here.
Sony closed the show by giving an extended look at gameplay for their exclusive Spider-Man game. It showed off a similar combat system to the Batman Arkham games along with all the web slinging you’d expect. It looks great, and the news of a 2018 release is even better for those anxiously waiting. This one is too good to skip so watch it below or see our post about it.
Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will launch on Nintendo Switch during the 2017 holiday season. The game will focus on a group of new heroes as they set out for the land of Elysium. These new heroes are a pair of swordsmen named Rex and Pyra, both of whom featured heavily in the first gameplay footage shown during the presentation.
The Nintendo Switch is getting its first Kirby game in 2018. For now, it’s under the working title, Kirby. You can see more information on the game in our blog post.
Pokken Tournament will launch on Nintendo Switch. Nintendo revealed that the Wii U fighting game will be its next title to get the Switch re-release treatment. The game is called Pokkén Tournament Deluxe and will launch on Sept. 22. Nintendo showed off the title with a brief teaser that shows how it’s updated for the Switch. Check out the video below:
During the Nintendo Spotlight at E3, The Pokemon Company revealed that a core RPG Pokemon game is in development for Nintendo Switch. According to The Pokemon Company’s Tsunekazu Ishihara, the game “may not release for more than a year.” Here’s the video:
Metroid fans had a fantastic E3 this year. Nintendo revealed a very brief teaser trailer showing that Metroid Prime 4 is currently in development.
Nintendo announced a new Yoshi game for the Nintendo Switch during its E3 2017 spotlight showcase. It will launch in 2018. If the game interests you head over to our blog post for more details.
A new trailer for Fire Emblem Warriors, Koei Tecmo’s Dynasty Warriors-style action game, debuted during Nintendo’s E3 2017 presentation. The game will be available on both Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Switch when it launches this fall. Not enough information was provided so hopefully this video is enough until more information becomes available in the future.
For those of you who own a Nintendo Switch and own Zelda: Breath of The Wild, this week at E3 a new expansion was announced for the game. For more details on the expansion, head over here.
Nintendo Switch players got some great news. The hit game Rocket League is coming to the Switch later this year. Along with that will be cross-play support allowing everyone on PC, Xbox One and the Switch to compete against each other. There will also be some exclusive gear to collect like a Mario hat, exclusive battle cars and more.
Nintendo confirmed that Super Mario Odyssey, the publisher’s next big Mario game, will head to the Nintendo Switch on October 27, 2017. The game looks good so I suggest you head to our blog post for more details and to watch the trailer and gameplay.
If the third person version of Metroid isn’t that appealing to you then Nintendo had that covered as well. Nintendo closed the show by announcing Metroid: Samus Returns, a 2D adventure with some 3D visuals. It’s a remake of the second title of the franchise with new abilities to use.
