Three ODST achievement teams join forces to form The Helljumpers

The upcoming release of Halo 3: ODST for Halo: The Master Chief Collection on the Xbox One has the members of our ODST achievement teams excited to revisit the streets of New Mombasa. To improve the ability of team members to set up runs, we will be consolidating the Brigade Team, Highwaymen, and Team Punishment into one single team, The Helljumpers. The team will support all achievements previously supported by the three individual teams (200k Firefight scoring, Vidmaster Challenge: Deja Vu, and Vidmaster Challenge: Endure) on the Xbox 360 and Xbox One, and will be under the leadership of Reaper and aDrunkBaconGod. If you need to unlock these achievements, head over to the Helljumpers’ board and request help from the team in the appropriate thread.

The team is also looking for new team members willing to help with these achievements. If you would like to volunteer your time to help members of SIP get achievements, please message either of the team captains.

Halo 3: ODST Firefight Achievement Guide

This week’s Achievement Guide Spotlight goes back about four years to look at the scoring achievements in the Firefight game mode of Halo 3: ODST. This is the first instance of a survival mode in the Halo series and it pits a team of up to four players against endless waves of Covenant forces. There are eight achievements worth 10 gamerscore each for scoring 200,000 points as a team on every map in the game. While each map plays a little differently, the basic strategy for surviving and taking out enemies remains the same.

As with other guides in the Achievement Guide Spotlight series, these guides are written by our members in the hope that they will assist other achievement hunters in their quest for 100% completion while at the same time minimizing the pain and suffering that is sometimes associated with the more difficult achievements in the games we play. This guide was composed by Reaper and the entire Brigade Team, which is our elite achievement team that offers in-game help with the scoring achievements. To request their help, just post in this thread and team members will be ready to help out.

This guide describes how Firefight works and general tips for surviving and neutralizing enemies as quickly as possible. Then the guide highlights map-specific tips that can dramatically increase your score. (Important note: This guide does not include the Vidmaster Challenge: Endure or Firefight: Alpha Site achievements. It will appear in a future iteration of the Achievement Guide Spotlight, so check back for it.) Hit the jump to get started!

A busy week for the Brigade

This last week for the Brigade has been active with milestones, a speed run, and the usual ammo-sharing love and fun.

Let’s start with the individual milestones.

SovietBeatle passed 450 in his run count in his usual style of Brute-bashing fun.

Pokenut passed his 200 run mark, preferring to let his weapons do the aggressive negotiations.

While these two were hitting their individual marks they also set a new speed record for Rally Point with a new time of 15:44. On this run Beatle, Pokenut, and Killagruntjaro put the pedal down and never let up.

Please join me in congratulating SovietBeatle, Pokenut, and Killagruntjaro on their milestones.

Great work guys and a big thank you to all the great work you do.

Reaper reaches 350 in style

Reaper has just reached the milestone of 350 completed 200k runs. That’s a lot of dead Covies and friendly ODSTs (it’s easier to just send ammo in all directions, apparently). Please join me in congratulating him on reaching the milestone and wishing him easy enemies on the next 50 and more!

Reaper is the captain of the Brigade, one of SIP’s achievement teams. The Brigade assists players with all of the scoring achievements in Halo 3: ODST Firefight. To enlist their help, simply request help in this thread.
