Happy New Year everybody! It may be a day late, but it’s better than nothing.
While news has been slow, it won’t remain that way forever, especially here at the Communique, with our resolution for the 2015 to get news to you in a much more creative manner. Expect some of this creativity to arrive in the near future.
For now, you can enjoy this short update!*Insert lead text here*
This week’s update is big. If you’re reading this on the forum, you might just have made it past the first challenge of loading. If you’re on the blog, you won’t be having that problem, but you will have to flip pages. This is all thanks to that wonderful gaming conference known as Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. We’re recapping the biggest points from the event in this update that is sure to break your Youtube if you keep refreshing, and I speak from experience.
For easy reference, the first page of the update covers the Microsoft Xbox Conference. The second page covers the Sony PlayStation Conference. The third page covers games covered in neither of the two conferences, the Deals of the Week, and the SIP News.
This week’s update features lots of pairs. Almost everything in the update is related to another piece of news save for two pieces, which probably makes them a pair. Most of it is about games to come in our future although you can still take advantage of things now with those huge sales this week.
We’ve also got a new feature for the updates that we think you might like, especially since it is community driven.
We took a break last week due to a lack of news, but I’m sure you guys didn’t notice since you were too busy playing Destiny in its unfinished state. This week, we’re back with more news, including Destiny news.
For those of you who missed last week’s mini-update, you can check it out here, because you really need to see those tractors, or try out some of my creations if you own GTA (I’d really appreciate it and there’s incentive down below).
The Electronic Entertainment Expo is arguably the biggest week of the year for the entire gaming industry and this year was no exception. Our Communiqué team remains hard at work summarizing everything that was announced, revealed, and confirmed. Because of the sheer volume of content, we’re splitting the update into parts dedicated to each of the press conferences from the major publishers: Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Ubisoft, Sony, and Nintendo. Stay tuned to the blog throughout the weekend to read our recaps of E3.
This part of the update focuses on the Microsoft press conference, which included the announcement of Halo: The Master Chief Collection, gameplay previews of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, Sunset Overdrive, Assassin’s Creed Unity, and more.
Activision released the trailer for their next Call of Duty game 2 days earlier than planned. The big reveal was planned for this upcoming Sunday, but a news outlet leaked the info early so Activision decided to just release the trailer now.
Introducing Call of Duty Advanced Warfare!
COD Advanced Warfare will be developed by Sledgehammer Games and will be released on November 4th, 2014.
