The start of video game launch season is now underway. We have some new, popular game releases this week that I know many off you have been waiting for. We also have some announcements about a certain mobile game coming to your Xbox that some of you may enjoy reading about.

Victors have arisen amongst the mangled bodies of Spartans, Steve’s, and creepers with two contest winners this week from weekly contests that have come to a conclusion. We also have some get-togethers in the near-future for everybody to get together.

A World of Keflings and Iron Brigade to be free for XBL Gold members in November

R MK XXV let us know today that Major Nelson revealed the games to become free in November as part of Microsoft’s Games with Gold promotion. A World of Keflings will be free in the first half of November, while Iron Brigade will be free in the second half.

Halo 3 free for XBL Gold members October 16-31

R MK XXV let us know (in addition to Major Nelson and Bravo in last week’s Halo Bulletin) that Halo 3 will be available free of charge for XBL Gold members beginning today until the end of the month (October 31).

Developed by Bungie and published by Microsoft Game Studios, Halo 3 completes the original trilogy featuring humanity’s fight with the Covenant and Flood through the eyes of Master Chief.

Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes free for XBL Gold members October 1-15

Major Nelson’s latest post about deals and specials coming to the Xbox Live Games Store in the near future also reveals the game being made free for the first half of October 2013 as part of Microsoft’s Games with Gold program. Might & Magic: Clash of Heroes will be available for free from October 1 to 15 for XBL Gold members (normally $14.99).

Developed by Capybara Games and published by Ubisoft, Clash of Heroes is a prequel to Heroes Might and Magic V. In this game, players can take control of five heroes and lead their armies in defense of the Might & Magic world. The gameplay primarily features RPG elements and puzzle mechanics, and supports up to four players facing off against each other in 1v1 or 2v2 modes on split-screen or Xbox Live.

Microsoft’s Games with Gold program offers qualifying players two free Xbox 360 games each month until December 31, 2013. The games are free to purchase for a limited time, and are yours to keep forever.

Rainbow Six: Vegas free for XBL Gold members until September 30

As part of the Games with Gold program, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas is available for free (normally $19.99) for XBL Gold members starting today, with the promotion ending on September 30. Developed by Ubisoft Montreal for the Xbox 360 and PS3, Rainbow Six: Vegas takes gamers to Las Vegas and tasks them with defending the city against threats of world terrorism.

To download Rainbow Six: Vegas, click here. As with other games in the Games with Gold promotion, the game will be yours to keep even if your Gold subscription lapses.

Magic 2013 and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas available for free in September
