A new summer means a new SIP contest, and this one will be a blast in typical SIP fashion! Throw out your tryhard attitude and let a little bit of luck and a whole lot of fun get you some awesome prizes!
The way this contest will work is that 1 day per week for 5 weeks we will all get together and play some of the more “unique” gametypes across Halo Reach and Halo 4 (both games required). You will be paired up in a team of 4 which will be randomly assigned prior to the beginning of the contest. At the end of the contest every participant will get a prize, but for luckiest team there will be some sweet prizes (see below)!
Use the discussion thread on the forum to sign up! You must be registered by Friday July 5th at 11:59 PM EDT.Here’s the run down:
This last week for the Brigade has been active with milestones, a speed run, and the usual ammo-sharing love and fun.
Let’s start with the individual milestones.
SovietBeatle passed 450 in his run count in his usual style of Brute-bashing fun.
Pokenut passed his 200 run mark, preferring to let his weapons do the aggressive negotiations.
While these two were hitting their individual marks they also set a new speed record for Rally Point with a new time of 15:44. On this run Beatle, Pokenut, and Killagruntjaro put the pedal down and never let up.
Please join me in congratulating SovietBeatle, Pokenut, and Killagruntjaro on their milestones.
Great work guys and a big thank you to all the great work you do.
Back in October, Ham Sanwitch posted a a couple of threads in various locations on the SIP forum. In them he was asking for questions to ask Jeff Steitzer in an upcoming interview he set up (example of such a thread can be found here). For those of you who do not know who Jeff Steitzer is, he is commonly known in the Halosphere as “The voice of Halo” (Hence the title of this post). Here’s a video for those struggling to grasp what I’m saying; I’m sure you’ll recognize the voice:
After collecting your questions, and dealing with numerous scheduling difficulties on our part to get this posted, here’s what Mr. Steitzer had to say for himself. Sit back and enjoy. If you’re new around these parts, welcome to SIP. Continue Reading for the full interview.
That’s what I woke up to this morning. It’s blurry (sorry) but if you look close enough you will see a giant rabbit. Yes, I’m fully aware that it’s trapped in a window well. How it survived the fall I’ll never know, but he was jumping around and was going ballistic while my mom (whom I thought was going to burst into tears) was screaming at me to get it out quick before it hurt itself.
As funny as it would of been to open the window and let it run around in the house I got my gloves and climbed down to rescue him. I’m happy to say that the little guy is free again, hopping in the fresh/fine grass or whatever it is rabbits do. I blame my dad for leaving the dog outside.
So that’s my story. I’m such a good person right? Anyways, we have a TON of news to go over so I’ll stop talking.
Oh and one more thing.
Protip: Try not to fall into any window wells while reading this update. I may not be around with my gloves at the time to set you free.
