June 14-17

The biggest event in gaming only comes once a year. This is where all the companies come together to reveal their biggest projects and show you why you need to buy their systems or games. Almost every year someone manages to have a massive surprise that delights fans. It could be the reboot to a franchise, free games when you didn’t expect it, or even a brand new console. No new consoles should be announced this year, but we can expect some peripherals to get some of the spotlight.

SIPWU 8.15.14 – Gamescom Edition

This week’s update is big. If you’re reading this on the forum, you might just have made it past the first challenge of loading. If you’re on the blog, you won’t be having that problem, but you will have to flip pages. This is all thanks to that wonderful gaming conference known as Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. We’re recapping the biggest points from the event in this update that is sure to break your Youtube if you keep refreshing, and I speak from experience.

For easy reference, the first page of the update covers the Microsoft Xbox Conference. The second page covers the Sony PlayStation Conference. The third page covers games covered in neither of the two conferences, the Deals of the Week, and the SIP News.

Sony brought their game(s), and offered plenty of reasons as to why a PlayStation 4 is a prime candidate for any dedicated gamer. Plenty of announcements to ogle at, so without further ado, here’s what they brought to E3!

You can think of it like Christmas because brand new games we never even expected are regularly announced at this event to thundering applause. It is unfortunately restricted to journalists, but we get a peek behind the scenes with the massive amount of live-streams going on.

SIPWU 8.2.13

What’s up SIP? I’m back from the boonies and ready to get my update on. Thanks to ROK for covering while I was gone. Not only did he manage to get the updates out, he managed to post them early…Which is something I haven’t done in a long time lol.

My excuse: Since E3 (perfect timing right?) my laptop has been suffering from this weird blue screen that would pop up and crash my computer. You couldn’t even turn it on half the time so I had to do all the updates with my iPhone (which isn’t fun). In a way, it’s kind of like the RROD only instead of an xXox it’s my HP Pavilion G6 (which are crap, don’t get HP laptops or the Pavilion for that matter).

While I was in Missouri, I discovered my cousin had the same exact laptop as me AND the same blue screen virus. He told me how to fix it and I haven’t had any problems ever since!

Now that I’m back in full force, let’s get rolling.
