This week, with the GDC, we bring lots of news that many of you might take interest in. A bunch of gaming news with the announcement of a new Virtual Reality headset and lots of trailers for games and DLC.
If you’re a fan of Call of Duty, then you might want to read this update. We’ve got plenty news and sales to keep you busy. There’s also plenty for you, even if you aren’t a big fan of COD, with Batman, GTA, Battlefield and Xbox One.

I hope everybody had a great Thanksgiving and managed to do their Black Friday shopping. If you didn’t do your video game shopping and were looking for something then we have plenty of sales for you with some one day sales. We also have lot of news from the gaming industry as well as news from SIP.
I was asked to write up my impressions on the Xbox One system so far. I have owned the system since last Thursday when I got it a day early. However, I did not actually turn it on until midnight Friday so I wouldn’t get banned from Xbox Live. Here are my thoughts on the system so far and the Kinect sensor that is included.
This week, we have some big news. With today’s release of the second next-gen console, the PlayStation 4, and the Xbox One following next week, the next-generation in gaming will finally completely kick in.
The current-gen is far from dying out and will still be pretty active for news.
Here at SIP, we have plans for competitive dominance starting up with our clan in Ghosts and we are going to take on the World of Skyrim, one block at a time.
Call of Duty: Ghosts released to the world last week. Activision and Infinity Ward celebrated by turning on Double XP for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC players. But what about the people waiting for just the next-generation consoles? Will they get Double XP as well? Activision hasn’t forgotten them and has announced a Next-Gen Double XP weekend for those players as well.
This week we havesome interesting gaming news with a big game release, and teasers and trailers for upcoming games.

The impending release of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag, Battlefield 4, and Call of Duty: Ghosts means that the hype train is at full speed. Also with Halloween around the corner, both Microsoft and Sony saw fit to have sales on their zombie- and survival-themed games. Read the full update to watch all of the launch trailers and check out what’s on sale this week.
News on the SIP front was slow this week – only the Last Man Standing 1v1 Tournament was of note. Only two players remain standing, so it’s time for them to either go big, or go home.
Lastly, we have an invited review by SpecOp3 for The Last of Us, the critically-acclaimed game developed by Naughty Dog for the Playstation 3. If you are thinking about getting the game, make sure to read his review to see what impressed him, and what didn’t.
With the release of the Xbox One less than a month away, Microsoft is starting their advertising campaign. Here is their new ad, entitled “Invitation,” that will be shown on television starting this Sunday on Sunday Night Football on NBC (in the United States).
